I have just had chance to play on this at the Royal College of Art graduate show and it’s fab! Beatbox is a project by Andy Huntington. Essentially you press record, tap on the buttons for each box to record a beat, then press play and the box taps back the rythm. It’s this simplicity that makes it great. You can stand the boxes on any surface to create a variety of sounds. You can also change the speed of playback and either have local loops or a syncronized loop. It was great fun to play with. I spoke with Andy and he is looking at making this into a commercial product/toy, so if you are interested or have any contacts please get in touch.
